what is the condition you have set for the default location. and is the DNS rule set for the "Technology" location applied correctly ?

There is no condition for Default location.I have created one location(Technology) and created the condition like that but the client is goint to default location.

    Client IP address is:172.30.12.90

    Computer Name:dt-tech-l06

try changing the location switch criteria. Make your technology as default location and create another location may be as external or OOO. and set the condition as DNS looks does not find

    Client IP address is:172.30.12.90

    Computer Name:dt-tech-l06

let me know how it goes.

    No.

I have created the condition like this but all the clients in this group is changed the location automatically.

As per the below condition only the 2 clients will be moved the location and remaining the clients which in in that group will be shows default location right?Untitled_2.png

you have set the locations wrong.

Make your ICICI process as default location and set the condition as DNS looks up should find

    Client IP address is:172.30.12.90

    Computer Name:dt-tech-l06

and create another location may be as external or OOO.  set the condition for this location as DNS looks up does not find

    Client IP address is:172.30.12.90

    Computer Name:dt-tech-l06

you ICICI process should have the condition as DNS able to find and the external should be as Not able to find the DNS. as I presume your ICICI process would be your internal location within network so obviously clients will be able to find the DNS resolution, where as in the external clients wouldn't be able to find the DNS resolution as they are out of network.

    I this this is correct.

if this is what you intend and clients are switching properly then its fine. if not then change swap the rules between your technology and external location. and if you have no condition in your first location named default then you can remove that location.

This is working fine.Is there is any way to create condition with only hostname(without ip address). If the ip address is changed the client will go to the Default right?

I can't get you praveen. Can you explain clearly?

There are plenty of location switching condition available, you need to chose based on what suits your needs.

I would suggest DNS server address as the server address is going to remain static and does not change.

Entire dns servers is same.So this condition is not applicable for my environment.

clients will not be able to connect to DNS from out of network, so what's the problem in using it ?
