Endpoint Protection

I cannot log into Endpoint Protection Manager, although I used to be able to do so. I entered what I am sure is the right user name & password, but got a message saying they were wrong. Therefore I ran Resetpassword.exe and entered ID: admin, PW: symantec. I was still told that the credentials were wrong. I am sure that the domain is right. I suppose that "Server" means the computer on which Endpoint is installed (which happens also to be a file server). "Server" was anyway already populated with values which presumably worked before: localhost: #### or an IP address, depending on whether we tried to log in locally or remotely. I accepted the default values in both cases, but still got a message saying that the credentials were wrong.

We first tried this with version 11.0.3. even though we couldn't log in, I upgraded to 11.0.6a. The results were the same with both versions.

    What do I do now?

    Thanks.

When you run resetpass.bat the username is  admin and password is also admin. Try that

    Hi,

If you enter the wrong password for more that 3 attempts the administrator account would be locked.

If it is locked wait for 15 mins and then login using the credentials "admin" and "admin" (after you reset the password)

if it is SEPM authentication then yes it's admin and admin (case sensitive).

    Let's step ahead very clear!
    1. Do nothing!
    2. Wait for 20 minutes and leave the server in the state of Doing Nothing!
    3. Now that the 20 minutes is passed, execute the resetpass batch
    4. Open the console
    5. Try to log in with user: admin and password: admin. Be careful it is case sensitive.
    6. If you succeeded it will ask you to enter a new password
    7. Do not forger this password. If you did so re-run this procedure from start!
Now, if you have any issue tell us the error you receive.
