Endpoint Protection

I am unable to update my definitions. Our office is using Endpoint Protection 11.x. Previously, I was completely unable to update the definitions using my roaming profile. A workaround was to create a local user profile, which worked for a couple of months or so. Beginning the first week of January, I noticed I am no longer (again) able to update my definitions. Our IT is unable to confirm why this is so.

I have read on the forums that there are no definitions being pushed for 11.x and that an upgrade to 12.x is the solution. While IT gets to that, I figured I can use the Intelligent Updater.

It does not work either.

Can someone enlighten me on how I can update my definitions while waiting for the upgrade? Thanks.

I ran it twice and it seems the AV definitions have been updated, Proactive and Network Threat definitions are still out of date.
 

11.x have reached EOL No more definitions for them

SEP 11.x is not supported and EOL on January 5th, 2015,. You cannot be get the defintion longer for the 11.x clients

I suggest you to upgrade the version in 12.x

SEP 11. is end of support life and definitions for it have been stopped as of 1/5/15. You need to move to 12.1 now.

I would be glad to answer your query.

There is not any workaround available to update definitions because Symantec is not releasing SEP 11 definitions anymore.

The initial end of support life date was originally scheduled for January 5th, 2014. All customers were provided a complimentary extention. No further extentions will be provided.

It's strongly recommended to upgrade to SEP 12.1, RU5 at the earliest to remain protected.
