Can Symantec please state compatibility of version 14.2 with macOS Mojave 10.14
This needs an update: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH131045.html
Hello,
SEP version 14.2 wasn't tested and certified to use with macOS Mojave 10.14
Symantec KB Article:INFO5071 shows the same.
Operating system : Mac OS X 10.10, 10.11; macOS 10.12, 10.13
macOS Mojave launched on September 24, 2018.
Not compatible yet. Subscribe to the article you linked to get updates to it so you'll know when it comes.
We have installed 14.2 on Mojave and it is running. Just need Symantec to certify it.
Good to know that it is working. However, since it hasn't been tested, it can't be certified.
Regards,
It if works then that's fine just keep in mind you probably won't get official support if something goes wrong, until it's supported.
Symantec is big enough where they should be able to provide some kind of zero-day notification. They could've at least had something posted like, "We are still working on SEP compatibility with macOS 10.14." Other major vendors provide zero-day support so why Symantec doesn't is a little concerning, especially since their focus is security and they have already announced their SEP Cloud client for Mac 7.9 has 10.14 support: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO127173.html
Just expect more, is all.
I second the posts above...we need Symantec to formally weigh in on their scheduled plans for macOS Mojave support. Smaller companies and larger ones alike have weighed in. Now they need to as well.
We were told by support that 14.2 MP1 was supposed to release last Friday. No word about that either (3929 sep does not play nice with 14.2 sepm as far as the Mac goes).
I agree they should have zero day communication. There is a reason Apple puts out beta's months before the release. So vendors can update/test/fix/communicate.
We run SEP 14 RU1 MP2 and upgrade to macOS Mojave seems to work fine on my test Mac. But as 14.2 MP1 is coming very soon (delayed by a week it seems) we have decided to wait for this supported version
Absolutely agree with WhyofFry. Symantec should of been day zero ready on this, we pay for it so expect support.
Hi, I upgared to Mojave and reinstalled 14.2, it crashed eachtime I try to encrypt a file. Any ideas how to get this work until an offical support? Thanks.
Nordics,
Did Symantec state that 14.2 MP1 was going to the be the Mojave-supported version?
Yes
Awesome. Thanks!
Anyone have the documentation on this? If the documentation I was looking for was my face and this site was my body, I wouldn't be able to find it.
Come on Symantec we need an update here @Mick2009

In my opinion the benefits of the new Mojave outweigh that risk. Upgrade away! &: )
Thanks, @Mick2009!
