  • 1.  Managed Software Delivery Policies Panel not showing "Compliant" or "Non-Compliant" machine list

    Hi all,

    We've just recently upgraded to ITMS 8.0 HF4, and are now experiencing a particularly inconvenient bug in the Console. Hoping someone has seen this or knows how to fix it.

    Under the Manage --> Computers --> Managed Software Delivery Policies panel, each policy displays a bar with up to three colours (green, red, and grey), indicating the percentage of compliant/non-compliant/pending machines. Until the upgrade (from 7.6 HF7), clicking on each coloured section would display the list of machines in that category in the panel to the right - a quick way of figuring out which computers need attention.

    Since the upgrade, however, clicking any coloured section will return only the Pending list of machines. For example:

    Which (ignoring the discrepancy, this was a live policy and numbers were updating in realtime) corresponds to the computer list:

    But after clicking the green bar (compliant) the panel to the right, whilst claiming to display the list of compliant computers, actually returns the pending count.

    If I click "Edit Raw SQL" and test the query which is supposed to return the list of compliant computers, those values and count are correct.

    I am 100% certain this worked in earlier versions.

    Has anyone experienced this in v8.0 HF4?

    Hi deemacgee,

    1. You are using account from "Symantec Administrators" role when this UI problem occurs? What happens if AppIdentity account is used for same case?
    2. Same problem using I.E browser on remote machine? Just a UI problem and I.E clear cache resolves this problem locally on Notification Server machine or still appears?

    Hi Igor,

    Thanks for your reply. In order:

    1. Yes, I am using a Symantec Administrator-level account and have confirmed this is also an issue with other users.
    I'm not sure what you mean by AppIdentity account.

    2. The same problem occurs on IE (and on Firefox and Chrome) irrespective of the user account or the computer.

    Hi deemacgee,

    You can check which account is an 'AppIdentity" ⇒ Open SMP Console ⇒ "Settings" ⇒ "All Settings" ⇒ expand "Notification Server" folder ⇒ click on "Notification Server Settings" page ⇒ check "Processing" tab

    Suspect that you see wrong amount of resources per selected Managed Delivery policy because of trustee scope applied for your currently logged-on account in SMP Console. "Application Identity" account should see all resources in NS.

    The Console still displays incorrect data under the AppIdentity credentials.

    Hi,

    Same Issue on my platform... 8.0 HF3

    This issue could be solve with HF4 or HF5 ?

    or by another way ?
