  • 1.  Managed Software Delivery Policy - Report for "Applied To:" computers

    Posted Apr 13, 2017 09:45 AM

    Hello

Iam using SMP 7.6 Sofware Managemt Solution.

I have some Managed Software Delivery Policies that have a few separate entries for targets, and these also have a few "Exclude Not In" and "Excluded" entries. In the policy you can see the "Applied to" count of the total resources and you can change the view from 'Targets' to 'Computers' which lists the computers that corresponds to the 'Applied to'.

The question is, how do I get a list of those resources/computers? It would be good to justt export that list from the policy, but obviously you can't

I have tried using the Software Complinace reports, but they don't seem to tie in with the numbers in the policy. They also seem to hold some historical info regarding computers that used to be in the policy, but are no longer part of the policy.

I have logged a case for this with Symantec, but I am not sure the can help with custom reports.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Steven Law

You might find some of the SQL useful in the following Article

    Useful SQL queries concerning Collections/Filters
    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/useful-sql-queries-concerning-collectionsfilters

There is SQL for Included and Excluded etc.

Check the following Table to see a list of assets

    • ResourceTargetMembershipCache

    Other useful Articles

Locate a Target's guid so that you can then :update its membership
    https://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/locate-targets-guid-so-you-can-then-update-its-membership

I raised an Idea and an Article about making sure an asset is added to a Target after being added to a Filter.
