Management Center and Reporting

Hi,

Currently i'm using management center version 1.4.1.1 , from this link https://support.symantec.com/content/unifiedweb/en_US/article.TECH246162.html i need to upgrade to 1.5.1.1 or 1.6.1.1 before upgrade to 1.7.1.1, Because from the software download i can't find 1.5.1.1 or 1.6.1.1

Is there new mechanism ? i mean directy upgrade to 2.1.1.2 GA

Hi,

If you want to directly upgrade to 2.1.1.2 then you need to boot with VM Image of 2.1.1.2 directly and restore the configuration.

If not possible then you can ask backline to provide link for downloading version 1.5.x.x or 1.6.x.x.

They use appliance not on VM.

Special Notes Regarding Management Center 2.x Software Image Installation:

Upon upgrade from a 1.x release to 2.x, the enable password will be set to the same password previously set for the admin account in the CLI. Immediately after upgrading, change this password from the (config)# mode with the command # authentication enable-password.

The question is we follow the best practice or  can directly upgrade from 1.4.1.1?

Dear Sudarta,

I would recommend to check with TAC team they will share bcsi file of 1.5.x.x or 1.6.x.x for upgrading.

I cross check i dont see any "BCSI" file of version 1.5.x.x or 1.6.x.x on portal.
