    I'm currently reveiewing several desktop management systems and need to understand ACMS a little better and how the agents communicate with the server. 

    Using CMS how does a company manage its remote / mobile workforce? We have a number of remote sales people and home workers whom we would like to manage (e.g. patch, AV, inventory, remote control) alongside our corporate site-based employees.

    What would be the 'best' way to enable our remote workforce with connectivity to Altiris so that we can pro-actively manage and administer these systems in the same way as our office based devices?

    Are there any specific network considerations (e.g. open ports on the client) that need to be adhered to?
