Colleagues! I'm asking you for help in advising on the correct migration from version 7.1 to 8. What is the correct way (set of steps) for upgrade (migration). Have anybody master plan for this process? We have distributed Infrastructure, that includes site servers (for remote offices) and servers with replication use (to main NS). I will be glad to any advice and materials.

Hi, Romano! I try to find description of upgrade for SMP 7.1. This link (and others) describe upgrade from 7.0 version, not from 7.1. Have anybody experience in process of the "off-box" migration from 7.1 to 8? Is it real, that i can simply install SMP 8 and with wizard migrate all data and settings from my old SMP 7.1?

Depends which build of 7.1 you are on?

Hi, Alex! Thank you very much for this post. I want to know one more thing - if i install new SMP 8 server how i can switch 7.1 clients to SMP 8 (with agent upgrade process)?
