    windows 7 system HP ZBOOK SSD

    PGP installed


    ​Have an sdd crashed. Windows tried to "repair" system and failed. Then I get missing operating system on boot. After hours found the way to attached to partners laptop with same pgp and the recovery tools in cmd prompt couldnt locate records on failed drive.

    SMART drive diagnostics say the drive is ok.

     

    tried creating recovery usb which actually started and tried to find records .

     

    but reports NO RECORD found. Does this mean that there is no way to recover the disk data at all. or would I get this error if the pgp encryption version is different on my partners pc?

    You may want to make a bit for bit backup image or full copy of the disk before going any further. No record found indicates the MBR has been deleted or damaged.

    The last resort option is to use the --recover option from command prompt. You may also consider creating a support case for further assistance.
