I just installed SEP 11.0.7101 (0236) on my 2011 MBP running OSX 10.7.3 and a new problem has ocurred.

Overnight, the system memory utilized creeps up fro 3GB to 7.97 (out of 8) GB.  This has happened twice now.

I had previously removed an olver version of SEP for the same reason.

Bottom line - SEP consumes all physical memory on my system.

I have run GatherSymantecInfo and have the dump file for anyone at Symantec who needs to see it.

Any help is appreciated!!!  We need SEP for corporate compliance, but I can not run it!!!

Thnks Mithun.  My issue is not CPU utilization, but rather physical memory utilization.  When I check in activity monitor, there is no free memory left.  But when I look at individual processes, none of them are utilizing the memory - so there appears to be a memory leak somewhere in one of the programs running.  Since SEP is newly re-installed, that is my suspect as this issue has not happened since the last time I removed SEP...

    Hello,

Could you please try installing the Latest SEP 11.0.7202 on your MAC and check if that resolves the Issue.

I followed the link - and it asks for "Please enter the serial number associated with your product " - can you tell me with a corporate license where I would find the serial number ?  I did not see it displayed when checking the "About SEP" menu option.

The Serial number would be a part of your documents that you may have received when you purchased either the product or the support.

    Example: M123456789

You could also call the licensing team for further assistance.

The serial number is the M123456789 number or code if you prefer, that you use to connect to fileconnet in order to download the software or updates.

    Update:

When navx is running for the nightly scan, I can watch the physical memory used increase while navx executes.

We have a corporate license and I do not know the serial number.  WIll have to call customer support to get it.
