For months now messagelabs.com has been blocking our outbound mail to our customers and banking institutions that use messagelabs.com as their scanning solution.

Every test I perform shows our reputation to be good, and there is no way to get off your block list automatically.

I even went as far as to change our public MX IP address today and we are still blocked so you must be blocking by the MX name mail.melloul.com.

Can you please look into this please?  I have a couple hundred angry employees and I am getting very frustrated because there is nothing I can do about it.

    Out public ip's are 207.34.224.106/29

We are using 207.34.224.107 mail.melloul.com for our MX

I would appreciate it if someone could investigate this asap.

    Thank You.

I've already done that more than once.   They just have me send an example of an email that gets blocked (every email qualifies for that) and then they say nothing is wrong with the email.   I already know that.

I can type "telnet cluster5a.us.messagelabs.com 25" from any network and get a connection to the messagelabs.com servers, while on my network it immediately disconnects.

    Hi Richard

I've taken a look at the issue you raised and I can't see your IPs listed on any block list that we reference.

I also looked to see if we had any internal throttling in place on any of the IPs in the range you mention and the only IP that I could see an issue with was the 207.34.224.106 which had some significant throttling in place which would cause mail flow issues.

    I've now removed this throttling.

Can you check and see if you're still having issues now I've made this change? If so please let me know.

    Regards

    $ telnet cluster5.us.messagelabs.com 25

    220 server-15.tower-76.messagelabs.com ESMTP
    ehlo test
    250-server-15.tower-76.messagelabs.com
    250-STARTTLS
    250-PIPELINING
    250 8BITMIME
    quit
    221 server-15.tower-76.messagelabs.com

It seems to work now with my telnet test.   I've asked a couple of users to email some of our clients that use your services to double check.

    THANK YOU!
