Migrate from Endpoint protection 12.1.1 to Protection Suite Enterprise 4.1

  • 1.  Migrate from Endpoint protection 12.1.1 to Protection Suite Enterprise 4.1

    Hi,

    1. Symantec Endpoint protection manager  version 12.1.1101

    We currently use the above  Symantec product. This product   is installed on the  Windows  server 2008 machine.

    But now we have purchased the Protection Suite Enterprise Edition 4.1.

    Is there in our situation some kind of migration possible? What is the best way to install the Protection Suite? Without losing contact with all the alrealdy deployed Endpoint clients .

    Please share any documents if anyone have.

    Protection Suite contains a multiple products, SEP included. You can upgrade to the latest version of SEP 12.1 of you wish. See here:

    Protection Suite Enterprise 4.1 is a bundle license that comes with four products to use. so you can very well upgrade/Migrate your existing SEPM to the latest SEPM 12.1.6 MP3. if you are just looking at the license migration, all you have to do is that import the .SLF file in SEPM to activate your SEPM with the latest license. you can also use the serial number to accomplish the same.
