  • 1.  Miniport #11 problem

After a mains power surge which destryed mt ATX power supply NIS 2009 did not work.  I uninstalled it and used Norton removal tool.  After reinstallation I have an exclamation mark in NIS miniport #11.  I cannot remove it, needed for boot is the message, and attempting to update driver results in a message best driver already installed.  However on the properties page device is not working because Windows cannot load drivers (code 31).

Does anyone know how to remove the miniport driver so that it can be reinstalled?

    Hi,

Can you post a screenshot of the error message. Also, you can check for the presense of the driver in Device Manager-> Non-Plug and Play drivers.
You can follow the steps below:

    1. Open Device Manager
    2. Go to Action->Show Hidden Devices

Now you can expand the new entry added by the name "Non-Plug and Play drivers", and try to locate the Miniport Driver.
