TouchDown

I've read through the forums, and I notice a lot of people have reported spotty notifcations. Does Symnatec have any eta on a fix? Touchdown has been doing this every since the makeover. I am an IT specialist and have a deep understanding of Java and C++

I am on Android Version 9.0.00438

I am on a Note 5, and I do not have power saving turned on. I have compacted the database, and now I have moved my calendar sync to only 6 months. Still having hit or miss notifications.

This is a huge problem. My entire district uses Touchdown (the Central Office employees which are a couple of hundred people), and I am not the only one having problems. I have watched it miss a reminder. For example, Outlook on my PC will pop the reminder, but my phone hasn't yet reached the prescribed time. When it did, no reminder. This is not every time, but no matter. One missed appointment makes you look bad.

I do know why people are getting cut-off reminders. If two or more reminders sound at the same time, it will cut your ringtone short. I like it that way, it lets me know more than one reminder is wanting attention.

Please let me know if this is being looked into. I've noticed you have asked for logs from others, but then the issue is never reported as fixed and the thread is closed (Tjohnson is the person that posted about spotty notifications back in May of 2016, he works with us and I know him. He told me about his post).

I'd really like to keep our people using Touchdown, but I need an ETA on this problem.

Spotty notification can occur for a number of reasons, but the big two are bloated database, which is what I check for in logs, and task killers/battery savers, or even the newer doze mode/battery saving modes that a number of phones have, which have the habit of killing processes Touchdown needs to listen and notify. Are you using anything like that?
