  • 1.  Move SEP clients to a different SEPM console

    Posted Mar 31, 2017 05:40 AM

    Hi all,

Current situation:  I have 2 SEPM consoles, one is version 14 and the other is version 12. I would like to remove the SEPM 12 console completely and move all clients over to the SEPM 14 console.

I know i can replace the sylink.xml file but having to do that manually on over 60 servers will take an age.

Is there any quicker way of migrating all clients over from SEPM 12 over to SEPM 14

    OR

You can always deploy sylink communication package remotely using PUSH deplyoment from SEP 14

Push the sylink out to the clients from the new SEPM:

Just make sure you have the proper admin credentials.

As it happens, the customer i was attempting this for has multiple firewalls in multiple offices where these servers live, and with that port 8014 is not open on most.

To have the customer add these manually to all their sites will be very long winded, so we've decided to leave as is and stick with 2 management comsoles.

Thank you all for your help
