    I got the same thing but I just installed the recently released 12.X SEPP Enterprise version. Everything works except when I do liveupdate the Whitelist fails and gives me that log entry.

     

    An update for Symantec Whitelist from LiveUpdate failed to install. Error: Postsession callback failed (208)

    Do a repair of the SEP from add/remove programs and then try to run liveupdate.

    If its on single machine repair or re-install SEP

    Hello,

     

    The following may resolve this issue:

    • Modify the installation of Symantec Endpoint Protection through Add or Remove Programs and uninstall Proactive Threat Protection, then modify it a second time to reinstall it.
    • Uninstall both LiveUpdate and Symantec Endpoint Protection, reinstall Live Update, then reinstall Symantec Endpoint Protection.
