if you have another server with which you want to repliacte this server running embedded database, you can do that. However you need to reinstall the server running embedded database and add it as a replication partner.

Important to note if you have client machines more than 5000, then Symantec suggestion is to use SQL database.

    Hi Pete,

I have tried reconfiguring the standalone sever to replicate but i loose all my clients, if the i restore back to standalone the clients are still there, is there no other way to move the DB across?

You cannot install now, you need to reinstall SEPM as replication partner. you need to move the clients from the existing SEPM( embedded database) to the other server (SEPM) where you would initiate the replication.

the standalone SEPM db will be lost , however the client that retains data will be sent to the SEPM after SEP client communicates.
