Client Management Suite

We seem to have some PC's which this office hotfix is failing to install. Looking at it it seems to apply to Excel. all of our machines have excel.! any ideas ?

I downloaded the update onto a PC that shows the error - it says already installed when I try to install it.

Man. I'm getting tired of this software and logging calls with altiris )-:

exit code 17025 means the patch is already installed. is there a way to flag 17025 as a success and not a failure?

i've disabled this patch in the patch remediation centre and it is now no longer listed in the software updates tab on the client. but it is still listed as not installed in my patch management reports.

Or

This is a known issue, and Symantec's saying it's a Microsoft problem:

PMImport will resolve this issue once Microsoft resolves it, according to the KB.  I'd recommend using a different method to roll out this patch, since Microsoft apparently isn't detecting that it is/is not installed properly.  As a result, Altiris PM won't detect it properly, either.  Alternatively, wait until it's fixed by Microsoft and therefore fixed in PMImport.

It's an issue for Novell users as well.
