Need help with an issue for multiple disk client PC.

    Setup.

    1. Ghost 3.1 MP6 on windows 2012R2 Standard.

    2. Create Bootdisk with proper driver included for Hard drive and network.

    3. Create Windows 10 master image and sysprep then shutdown.

    4. Boot Widnows 10 master image with boot CD then capture from ghost console.

    3. Push DAgent client onto Windows 7 client.

    4. Create job to push Automation folder installation and reboot.

    5. Create distributed disk image job.

    6. Modify configuration to join PC to domain.

    7. Any PC with only one disk C:, image job ran without issue.

    8. Any PC with two disks C: D: or E:, distributed image job place image onto D: or E: drive. PC reboot and boot into windows 7 again.

    9. Try changing the Distributed disk image commnand DST = 2 or 3 or 4 base on diskpart list volume where C: located. still the same issue.

    Anyone have the same issue?

I'm in a close enviroment so there is no way to upload any logs but can eyeball for specific area.

    Thanks

    Keith

    Keith,

I have seen this issue before, in my experience ghost was not the issue.

If you boot the machine to winpe and run diskpart, you will see that sometimes your drive letters are swapped around (Drive one becomes two etc..) This seems to be an issue with the bios/OS reading the hard drives.

When you run the ghost job it selects which ever hard drive the job is telling it to image to, in this case drive one. If the bios performed the switch and GSS selects drive one then you will be imaging to the wrong hard drive.
