I do not think it is a virus, are these machines have remote SEPM console installed or SEPM?

or are these machines having any java based application?

    Hello,

No, Javaw.exe is not a Virus.

    javaw.exe (sepm console)

    Check this Thread:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/javawexe-using-50-cpu-usage-all-time

Again, Could you let us know if this machines facing issues (conencted with different users) are connecting to the SEPM's?

    Hope that helps!!

kill the javaw.exe from process, one of the application on the system will stop working. Some application is using javaw.exe, if not SEP.

Great :-), that clearly explains javaw.exe is being used by elipse and it's nota virus.

    Hope that answers your question.

Got your point, however its the application thats consuming 100%, you should be contacting the application vendor to see if there is something that can be tuned to bring CPU utilization down.
