We are setting up the rules for windows desktop patch deployment. It usually will be run quarterly. Therefore, we need to apply multiple patch in one-go. The policy is set that the re-start notification will be pop-up and allow user the delay re-start upto 4 hours.
The pop-up can allow users to specify how long will the next pop-up. However, we found that when applying multiple patch which require multiple re-start, the pop-up notification will be pop-up again and again. For example, if 3 patches need to have re-start after application, the notification windows will be poped when the 1st patch applied. If the user choose remind me 2 hours later, user will expect that the notification windows will be popup again 2 hours later. However, the notification windows will be popup again when the 2nd patches has been applied and so on.
Does anyone can share how should I set the policy so that the notification massage windows will pop-up acccording to the user time set?
