Endpoint Encryption

Hi,

I have Symantec Endpoint Agent installed. I assume there is some encryption set on my laptop.

Recently i deleted few of my files(Text files) by mistake and then recovered it through the recover software (fyi -Recuva). But the file shows all meaning less characters / junk characters. Is it because of symantec Endpoint Agent encryption ? 

Can you please help to recover the original text files?

This doesn't tell which Symantec product. Do you have a screenshot of its interface?

I do not see any interface / installations for Encryption. I have Macafee Antivirus Installed.

I see in installation folder that the Symantec Endpoint agent and i dont find any readme file to find out what it is.

My problem is that the recovered file contains junk characters. I am trying to find out any way to get it back in normal text. I tried different softwares and all of them recovers with junk characters.

The problem is this post may be in the wrong forum. If it's for Symantec encryption than I can move it to the right one. The current forum it's in does not get much support.
