  • 1.  Need a better text comparison component.

    I am trying to match a string to a path variable I have created. I have tried to use the "Matches Rule" but that seems to be matching on anything in the string instead of the whole string only.

    Currently, this works, but it isn't expandable:

    Is there a better way to do this, that I can use 1 component instead of stacking them?

    There's an Equals rule https://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/equals-rule Or Matches Rule https://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/matches-rule Or Text Equals https://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/text-equals-rule (Or you could use the Scripting Component)

    Equals - This wouldn't work for my application.

    Matches - This seems to be matching on a partial string instead of the complete string, too many positives.

    Text Equals - This also wouldn't work.

     

    I did find "Find Multiple Matches" which seems to work exactly how I need it to for now.

    Glad you found something.

    Just out of interest do you have an example of the path the strings you were looking for?
