Need to know how install SEP and SEPM on same server and made them communicate with each other. I have already setup sepm on my computer. Basically I wanted to do this so that I can test and push policy without having two different computers I am new to Symantec so basically wanna setup a lab like thing. Kindly help me with this.....

Hi John,

its the same way like you do for other computers, either export a package and run the install locally or search for the local machine and install SEP. once installed it will communicate (if ports are open 8014 by default) no special consideration is needed.

SEPM is a management server and SEP is the AV part.

At the top of your SEPM page click help and getting started on the screen that comes up select install the client software on your computers which will start up the installation wizard. 

Select New Package Deployment > select you group, install features, install settings and click next > you can either save a package or select remote push for a remote install. This package will have all the communcation settings to allow the client to speak directly to the SEPM.
