Need steps/procedures to implement a workflow in 7.0 version

    What are the steps/procedures to implement the below workflow. Please suggest the steps fro WorkFlow 7.0

     

     

    A.  a process to configure / deploy Desktop / Laptop with respect to allocation, movement & retirement in the organization. It will start from incorporation of new machine (Laptop / Desktop) in the organization involving following attributes:

     

    1.  Getting a request for new machine from end-user

    2.  Approval from competent authority for the request of new machine

    3.  Intimation to provide the new machine

    4.  Validation of machine configuration & pre-requisites of the standard software.

    5.  Verification of standard nomenclature (hostname).

    6.  Association of owner with the machine

    7.  Updating of Asset register / SAP Asset register

    8.  Deployment & handing over of Asset to end-user

    9.  Maintenance of machine configuration

     

    Once, owner of machine gets changed, it should have the process to assign to the new owner. Also, installation of new software (other than standard one) including removal of any standard software should have the prior approval process.

     

    There should be a process to update the record in CMS once machines is removed after reaching its life cycle.

    there is a predefined workflow available that you can use together with Asset Management Solution - a Purchase Request Workflow.

    It does not cover all the steps that you have listed, but maybe you can use this workflow as a starting point.
