  • 1.  Need to stop PGP from processing outgoing email.

Our company's email policies require that email stop in the outbox before being sent out and we have a group policy in effect for this. However after installing PGP the outlook client automatically sends email out intead of leaving it in the outbox for the employee to double check. They are using the version 10.0.2. They were using outlook 2007 and in an attempt to fix the issue I have upgraded them to 2010 and then to 2013 both have the same issue. I have also tried removing the policies involved with outgoing email but it is still processing outgoing email. Is there a way to stop it from processing outgoing email?

If these are managed clients with a PGP server then disable the Messaging in Policy.  Update the policy on the clients.

If your users are stand alone then Open the PGP desktop interface, click on Tools, Options, and go to the Messenging tab and un-check the E-mail secure box and click OK. This will disable the messenging of PGP.

    Thanks

We still need to be able to decrypt incoming email files. If I disable that it stops incoming email decryption. I need to specifically disable outgoing email proxying.

If you disable the Outgoing mail server then your messages will be sent in the clear.

I've checked policy and there isn't a way to stop the mail flow to the Outbox in Outlook if PGP is enabled.

    Thanks
