We recently setup a network prevent for web version 14 to scan for DLP violations from an FTP proxy. The server is detecting violations in text files and some pdf files and some csv files, but not recognizing some other PDF, excel, csv files. The FTP proxy server is ipSwitch MOVEit DMZ server and using the ICAP protocol to connect to the Symantec DLP server. I have opened a case with Symantec but the support person seem to have no clue. I was wondering if this is something to do with the way the files are created.
Please let me know if any of you experienced similar issue and how it is resolved. I am also looking to see if there is a way to configure the ICAP to scan for all types of files instead of indicating the file types in the response filter section.
