  • 1.  New to GSS 3.1. Simple but Atypical use case - How to?

We have used Ghost for years to clone base systems to other hardware simply to cut down on our deployment time for new systems.  Is this possible in Ghost 3.1?  I'm not finding a ton of information about booting coputers from a boot disk and simply cloning them.

What I'd like is to know how to create a UEFI boot disk, connect it to the computer that i want to clone, clone up to the network (was ghostcast in the past), then be able to restore that image to another computer, boot it, and go.

Now that Dell systems with Windows 10 are shipping with Windows 10 and secure boot, is this possible?

If not, can someone point me in the direction of a 'how to get started cloning windows 10' type of document?

    Brian,

This should get your going in the right direction...

    1. Install Windows ADK (build 1511)

    2. Install Symantec Ghost Standard Tools 3.1 MP6.msi or Ghost Standard Tools 3.2.msi
