  • 1.  New TD not syncing

    Got forced to upgrade to new TD couple days ago. Since then, nothing sync (mail, contacts, calendar, etc.) seems to sync. A couple new test messages, contacts, calendar items came in right at the moment I configured - then nothing. No errors messages and my review of the logs shows no errors. Logs imply there is no mail - but I can plainly see it.

    On Samsung S7 connecting to MS at O365 hosted Exchange.

     

    I've tried reconfiguring but no luck. Reinstalled too.

    Hi,

    Can you rerun quick configuration (Via Touchdown settings>advanced>legacy>account>Quick configuration) and let us know if that resolves the issue?

    Also you may want to use the following settings:

    userid: your email

    domain:

    email: your email

    server: m.outlook.com

    SSL enabled, Activesync only.

    I have the same problem. The error message displayed is: "ActiveSync version check returned negative, but still trying for 12.1"

    Thanks to Peter Jung I was able to connect.

    Turns out the mail server name had to be an exact match for the certificate common name ( we run our active sync from our corporate web server ).

    Even though one of the config options is to accept any certificate, I got the misleading error message. Someone should improve the error message.

    Hi, by trying various combinations of settings I was able to connect and start a sync.I honestly don't know which setting did the trick, but here is where I ended up.

     

    username  = my email

    domain was blank

    server was outlook.office365.com

    SSL certs was "automatic" - which triggered a caution about MITM attacks, but seems OK

    ActiveSync only

     

    I wish the automatic setup worked. I'm the only Touchdown user here and everyone else's setups "just worked" - mine did also before this latest Touchdown update.

    Issue seems resolved. Sync seems to continue - whereas it worked for 10 minutes earlier and then stopped. I needed to create a new profile though. 

     We can close this issue.

    PS, Thank you for reaching out. I had an email crafted but was able to resolve on my own.
