    Hi,

We have noticed that some computers not show hardware inventory data.

Some tables have NULL values (ex.: vHWComputerSystem and vHWProcessor) and resource manager don´t show hardware section:

More details about agents and infrastructure:

    • OS (XP and W7).
    • Agent version 7.5.3153, inventory agent version 7.5.3219.
    • SMP 7.5 SP1
    • Scheduled Hardware Inventory task is right executed.

We hope someone could help us. Thanks.

    Hi aggsist,

If scheduled hardware scan task is shown as successfully completed, then:

    1. There is no problems with free license nodes for Inventory Solution? Or it is already exceeded?

    • You can check license state from SMP Console -> "Home" -> "First Time Setup".

    2. Try to manually execute scheduled tasks on NS Server from Microsoft "Task Scheduler Library":

    • "NS.Resource Inventory Summary Update"
    • "NS.Resource Update Summary"

    3. If problem still occurs, then run hardware scan once again and:

    • Check Symantec Management Agent logs, while inventory scan is running to identify any errors which could be a root cause.
    • Check Logs in Altiris Log Viewer on NS, when inventory scan is completed and client sent .nse file with all scanned data to see is there any issues during .nse processing from this client or not.

    Thanks,

    IP.

    Hi IGor,

    Thanks for your reply.

    We have checked your questions:

    1. No problems with licenses:

    Licencias.JPG

    2.  Tasks:

    • "NS.Resource Inventory Summary Update" task is right daily executed,
    • I can´t find "NS.Resource Update Summary" task. In our NS is called "NS.Refresh Resource Update Summary" task. It isn´t scheduled as you can see in picture above:

    TaskScheduled.JPG

    3. NSE files path is "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\SMP\EventQueue\EvtQueue", isn´t? This folder is about 200MB size and there are old NSE files (last month date aprox.).

The problem is only focused on about 200 computers, so we are going to check some installed agents (inventory plugin) and try to reinstall it. Then we´ll launch a hardware scan and wait for results.
