    Hi,

Inorder to completely uninstall Symantec Antivirus for installing newer version , i used Cleanwipe tool as recommended by Symantec. The Symantec Antivirus was uninstalled succesfully but now there is no network connection. The ip address has been set properly but unable to access internet from that node. Please suggest.

    Hi Pete,

The machine was rebooted as the cleanwipe tool requires a restart after it has finished uninstalling the symantec product. I was not able to uninstall it manually and therefore had to use this tool.

    HI,

    Check this Comments

There may be a possblity that the  TCP IP stack was corrupted.

Take a back up of the TCP ip settings and  Rebuild the TCP Ip stack.

At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:

    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

     Reboot the computer.

    Hello,

    Check this Article:

Removal of the Symantec Endpoint Protection client from a machine results in loss of network connectivity.

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH103154

Here are the Steps to Follow:

    • Right - click My Computer icon on the desktop and click Manage
    • On the Computer Management snap-in, click Device Manager
    • Expand Network adapters in the right pane
    • You may see a yellow exclamation mark next to the network adapter in question
    • Right click on the network adapter and click uninstall
    • After the drivers are uninstalled, reboot the system
    • The system will automatically detect the network adapter hardware and install the drivers
    • The client should regain the network connectivity.

Note - Windows will automatically install the drivers for the on-board network adapter. In case of an add-on network adapter card, the drivers need to installed from the hardware manufacturer's CD.

    Hope that helps!!
