  • 1.  Norton has let a virus on my computer

I bought two new computers which came with full Norton Internet Security for trial period. During this time when I was fully protected my aol email account started sending out dozens of emails to my contact list with links in the body of the letter. And sent different links to  most of my contacts every day. I am currently trying to close my aol account...but why would this happen. I did not sign up for Norton because of this at the end of the trial period. Thank you.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but AOL is a web based email account. It sounds like your account password was compromised. No AV product can prevent someone from hacking your web based email account.

Be sure to use strong passwords for all your accounts, and I recommmend changing them on a regular basis.

Use SEP ver11.  It has  a feature, Internet Email Auto-protect, that will help you to prevent your  email client from sending  out emails  to user automatically...
