  • 1.  Norton/Vista Question

I have a client who renewed his Norton subscription (version 17.7.0.12)  6/24/2010 on a laptop running Vista. Since that renewal the laptop no longer recognizes his TopCon data collector. When he attaches the USB cable the computer recognizes it, but when he turns on the device it launches Windows Mobile Device Center, attempts to connect, the stops and shows Error, but no details provided. Troubleshooting through Windows Mobile Device Center suggests opening ports on the PC firewall, but the Windows Firewall is disabled (assuming the Norton firewall is running in its place).
Any suggestions? Can we somehow disable Norton or uninstall it to troubleshoot, then enable or re-install it?

You could run the Norton removal tool. search for  it  on google, and you would  find it...
