Deployment Solution

Hi

I have installed Altiris CMS 7.0 on a Server 2008 box. We create our own images to use on our network. I have created an image and installed the Altiris Agent in the image. I pushed the image out to 32 machines, and they all come up with the same Computer ID in the Altiris Agent settings. Is there a way to purge this ID so that when the computer reconnects with the IP address it will generate a new Computer ID, or is this ID stored when the machine is sysprepped?

I hav since updated the images and uninstalled the Altiris Agent until the machines are on the domain and I will then push the client thru DS 6.9.  I thought putting the client in the image would speed up the process.

For machines that are already up and running in your environment, you can send a remote command and leverage AeXAgentUtil.exe and use the /resetguid switch.
