  • 1.  Obtain list of client software with SEPM

    Hi all,

Is it possible to use SEP to carry out some sort of software audit on your clients?

Now it's very possible that this was all part of what would have been the worlds most boring dream, but I have a flicker of a shadow of a memory that when I was intially pushing out SEP to the clients there was a some kind of setting to obtain info from those clients...

Now I cannot find this bit at all (this may well be because it doesn't exist!) and have also spent hours mooching around the internet looking for a mention of it. All of this (so far) fruitless searching is suggesting to me that my subconcious mind does indeed take me to the dullest dream worlds possible and that the only conclusion I'll reach, is the one that I should get out more.

Can anyone put me of my misery?!

    Thanks

    Tony

I think he's asking about any software that may be installed on the machine, Office, Adobe stuff, etc.  Application and Device control can do some software logging, but isn't necessarily the easiest way to get a list of software installed, but rather a list of every EXE that's been run.

    Another question I'm afraid.

I only have the AntiVirus and AntiSpyware Protection and TruScan components installed on my clients at the moment. Do I need Network Threat Protection installed to use the learned applications feature?

    Thanks
