  • 1.  OK to install EP12?

    Hello.

    I have several clients running EP MP3 and while not "perfect" it is as stable as any release of EP 11.

    Given the HORRIFIC track record of EP 11 and stability, I am extremely wary of rolling out a 1st release anti virus application from Symantec.   But in the end I'm looking at any way possible to improve on the stability of anti virus installs and if this version is that I would want to get going on this and get this rolled out.

    Any comments would be apprecaited.

    Also, is there a document that discusses the steps required for migration from EP11?

    You can migrate to SEP 12.1 now or if you feel hesistant you can wait for SEP 12.1 Ru1.

     

    But I can saySEP 12.1 is way aheah of SEP 11.x in terms of Security and Managebility.

    I believe SEP 12.1 RU1 will release in the month of Nov'11

    Yes, there are many improvements has been done compare to SEP 11.x

    You might be aware that SEP 11.x is paper license product but SEP 12.1 is software license product.
