  • 1.  Our whole subnet has a negative reputation due to snow shoe spamming techniques

    Posted Jul 17, 2017 12:56 PM

    Hi,
a lot of customers are complaining that they can't sed email to specific domains.
These domains are using your appliance as anti-spam

My MX servers are perfectly clean on every RBL or health check (mxtoolbox and dnsstuff.com).

I made a lot of queries of our subnet and i found that all of my IP address have a negative reputation!

"The host has been observed sending spam in a format that is similar . to snow shoe spamming techniques."

How's that possible? 90% of them are not even in use.  The ip that we are talking is: 185.132.68.51.

I would like to resolve this problem ASAP because as a Service
Provider we are receiving a lots of complaints from multiple
    customers.

    Hi Roberto

I've had the reputation of this IP reset for you. Please allow a short time for that to propagate and then you should see no further issues.

Can I ask you then to check and confirm and maek this thread as resolved id everything is then working as expected.

    Thank you

    Hi Ian,
thanks for you support. Now is working...but can you confirm that reputation still negative ?

Because we did remove request from symantec portal http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/ but after few days the issues happen again.

    Thank you

    Roberto

    Hi Roberto

The reputation is no longer negative. I had the team that looks after this list manually check the IP and reset.

    Thanks
