I am trying to setup an IMAP Gmail account in Outlook 2013 with Symantec Encryption Desktop v 10.3.2. I have been unsuccessful so far. Using the settings I'll list below, I've been able to get it to send a test message, but it's unable to logon to the incoming mail server. Outlook gives the error "Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP): A secure connection to the server cannot be established."
Outlook 2013 Account Settings:
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
Outlook 2013 Account Settings -> More Settings:
- Outgoing Server Tab:
- My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentication (box checked)
- Use same settings as my incoming mail server (radio button selected)
- Advanced Tab:
- Incoming server (IMAP): 993
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Symantec Encryption Desktop

- Incoming Server: *
- Outgoing Server: *
- Encryption Server: <none>
- Username: [address]@gmail.com
- Default Key: [Added my gmail account to my organization's default key]
New Service Server Settings:
- Server Type: Internet Mail
- Incoming Mail Server:
- Name: *
- Protocol: IMAP
- Port: Automatic (993)
- SSL/TLS: Require SSL
- Outgoing Mail Server:

Using these settings I feel like it SHOULD work but I'm unable to complete the setup of my Gmail account in Outlook. I would GREATLY appreciate any assistance in getting these settings correct so that I can correctly setup an IMAP Gmail account in outlook.
Thank you!
