I have several systems that multiple patches are failing on with error code -2145124329.

What does this error code indicate?
How do I resolve the problem?

    Thanks
    Derik

Have you looked at the Windows Event Log on one of the computers that's failing to install?  Or tried to run one of these updates manually on a failing computer as this will likely give you a real language explaination of what's going wrong.

You need to drop the '-' when you search:

0x80240017 -2145124329 SUS_E_NOT_APPLICABLE install is not needed because no updates are applicable

    http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive/windows_update_codes.htm

Looks like overtargeting by Patch Management, happens occassionally unusual for multiple patches

If you're using ITMS 7.5 SP1 release without HF1 and amount of managed clients is ~ 10 000 (or more), then you could get known issue, when clients are receiving not applicable patch policies

    About available 7.5 SP1 HF1 for installation:

About High CPU issue when it causes unnecessary patch policies receiving by not-applicable managed endpoints

If you confirm the product version is not an issue as outlined by Igor:

Review KM: HOWTO95427, for it details simple checks to further isolate if it is a problem with the IsApplicable=TRUE Rule, or if it is a problem with the software being updated.

Most common issue with multiple updates failing  to install is the targeted software is corrupt or the updates are unable to target properly as there are multiple versions laid down simultaneously (e.g. all updates are for .NET or Office).
