I want to ghost an image from one computer to another, over an ethernet connection,

I have Symantec Ghost  (12.0.0.8065) on the Windows 10 server side (where the .gho file is), and Symantec Ghost (12.0.0.10618) on the Windows 10 WinPE client.

What command lines do I need on the server and client to ghost the image on to the client?

    I have tried:

            ghostsrv.exe "C:\Images\My Image Name.gho" mysession -N1 -C -UU

    and

           ghost32.exe -clone,src=@MCmysession,dst=1

but both sides just sit there waiting 'til the client times out after a few minutes

I can ping between computers and both firewalls are off

can you just run them in the gui so that you can see all of the errors and issues?   The command lines look solid enough so they should work but for trouble shooting just launch the ghost cast server make sure it is ready and in a state to accept clients.

Then on the client launch ghost and join the ghost cast session.   If it can't still join the server then rather than using the auto matic from the client put in the IP of the server system.

Mcaffee will block multicast.   Even if you disable it.

Hope that helps.  let us know how if it changes.

Thanks, I think you may have hit the nail on the head with McAfee. I'll try it next week and let you know

Here is our KB but the steps might be a bit out dated since we don't have access to mcafee.

Also the following has a lot of genneraly good suggestions on resolving a lot of common environmental issues.

If you have an external hard drive you could also put the image on the external drive and do it locally to the client to get moveing forward while looking into why ghost cast server is blocked.
