  • 1.  PGP Desktop Encryption, Win 10, Office 2016, no automatic configuration

    Hello,

    I just tried to install PGP Desktop Encryption (Deployment Package from Server) on a Win 10 Client with Outlook 2016. The installation make no problem, but the assistant configuration can not read the Mail which come to Outlook. The Package have a Mail Server Binding Wildcard, I think this is right (on Office 2013 theres no problem).

    What can I do to make it running on Office 2016.

    Hi Sascha,

    Symantec Encryption Desktop does not currently supports Outlook 2016. Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This Feature Request is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version of the product. 

    Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add this product feature. Note that an feature request is exactly that, a request. There is no committed date for this request from the Endpoint Encryption Product Management team, nor from the Endpoint Encryption Engineering team at this time.

    Hello,

    I hav no update, because you already wrote that the current version doesn't support Outlook 2016. So I only can wait for an update which fix this problem.

    Hi Sascha,

    As informed Symantec Development has already addressed this Feature Request in the next version i.e 10.3.2 MP12 and the functionality is under testing, the official date for the release is not yet out, however it is anticipated to be in last week of Feb or early March.

    Note: Date is tentative.

    Symantec Encryption 10.3.2/3.3.2 Maintenance Pack 12 has been released.

    This has added compatibility with Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Windows and Mac OS X.
