PGP Desktop Standalone incompatible with MS Outlook 2007 & 2010

  • 1.  PGP Desktop Standalone incompatible with MS Outlook 2007 & 2010

Configuration: Windows Vista and Outlook 2007 - Win 7 and Outlook 2010. and PGP Desktop standalone V 10

The signature of a received email signed with X.509 certificate on Outlook 2007 or 2010 is not recognised. The public key is blocked by PGP and transformed into an unusable attached file.

I have just discovered that for the public key to be properly processed you have to deactivate PGP and restart Outlook.

I have spent a total of 10 days of research to find that, enquiring with Microsoft, McAfee, Verisign, Trustis and Comodo for the certificates, and Toshiba for the hardware with no result.

I'd be severely disapointed if Symantec/PGP doesn't bring a solution to this problem in a next update.

My Requirements is:  I should receive and/or send encrypted email using X.509 certificates even is PGP is activated.

    Best regards,
