    Hi all,

I have installed and configure Symantec Encryption Server also I installed Symantec Encryption Desktop on client computer. Both programs working perfect with encryption and decryption emails (with keys on local PGP server and global directory).

I have problem when I want to sent encrypted email to recipient who don’t have any PGP key. I use default policy that looking for the keys on local and global PGP servers, when don’t found any key should create external Web Client user and sent notification to it to login to see email. But when I try to sent that email Symantec Encryption Desktop telling me that ‘Key not found – sent unsecured’.

On the policy in Action tab is info: “The Smart Trailer, Web Email Protection, and PDF Email Protection options have the effect of Send clear (unencrypted and unsigned) when executed by a client.” What that it means?

Please help me with this problem.

    Regards,
    Sebastian

In order for Web Messenger to kick in, you must make changes to the default policy, plus route emails through the SEMS (i.e. it must be in the outbound mail flow and licensed for gateway email).

Is this how you have it setup?
