PGP login not displayed when laptop starts

I have a new Dell XPS L401x notebook running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I purchased and installed PGP Whole Disk Encryption 10.1.2  64x version. I successfully installed the software and encrypted the hard drive. When I rebooted the computer the computer shows: the Dell XPS splash screen, then a screen displaying “Bootguard initializing loader – Done and Loading Stage 2 – done. I then get a screen that briefly (1 second) shows the PGP Whole Disk Encryption gray logon screen. Finally I get a black screen with an underscore cursor blinking in the upper left corner of the screen. Sadly I can’t get past this screen. I’ve connect an external monitor to the computer thinking an active screen was showing elsewhere with no help. I’ve also tried typing the passkey into the system hoping it was an display issue – also no help. I also created a PGP Recovery Disk to try to decrypt the system. It will boot to the disk and the gray screen that says “press any key to continue”. When I press a key I get a message about loading the password authentication driver and then the screen goes black as described above. Any thoughts how to get the logon screen to show and allow me to access my computer?

It sounds like you may be experiencing the same problem as discussed in this thread.
