  • 1.  PGP Logon Screen Resolution

    Posted Jun 17, 2015 06:12 PM

    Hello,

We have recieved a complaint about the high resolution of the PGP Logon screen running Windows 8.1 Pro.  As a result of the resolution, a faculty member is having difficulty reading what is on the screen.  Does anyone know of a way to adjust the resolution of the log on screen to make it easier for users to read?  Obviously, the screen comes up before Windows loads, so changing the resolution from within Windows has no effect on the log on screen.  Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi Tedward,

There was a similar issue in past that appears on the PCs with Wide Quad Extended Graphics Array Plus screens (referenced as WQXGA+ , QHD or QHD+ display) with resolution 3200x1800 pixels, such as Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 PRO or Dell XPS 15

Below is a Bug report for the same.

    https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH224009.html

Could you please confirm the SED version (10.3.2 MP9 is the latest version which is recommended) and the hardware details of the machine you are facing issue.

    Hi Tedward,

Dell XPS 15 is one of the model listed as affected model in the above Bug report.

Could you please try upgrading the latest device drivers and BIOS update on the machine and then install SED 10.3.2 MP9, which you will get from https://fileconnect.symantec.com using you serial number.
