Customer is currently use Symantec’s PGP Desktop for email encryption, and are starting to have people who use iPads that want to be able to get encrypted emails. To my understanding, they could use a PGP Universal server to manage and allow for that as well as the PGP Viewer in the iTunes store.

Could they use a combined environment to allow for that? So use the desktop licenses in most cases, but for the people that have iPads, we would have a list of PGP keys that they would need access to, and have those keys (and associated licenses) on the Universal Server?

They currently have 85 desktop licenses, but would only need about 20 people to have access to the universal server.

If you're planning on putting a UN in the environment, why not manage the entire estate?  There's no reason why the other 65 people cant be managed in there too.  But yes getting it centralised via UN is the best course of action
