Can anyone share a good approach to checking the database integrity for WDE computers on the Universal Server?

We have a couple of instances where local support groups have logs created from PGPDesktop that report the encryption status for computers that are not showing up in our Universal Server.

We use the Universal Server has our authoritative source for proving a missing laptop is encrypted.  I would like to understand what might be causing this discrepancy.

The backend of the UN is postgres, so if you set up SSH access - http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH149673 - you can then use normal postgres commands on it - and that I do not know, I am not a DBA :)

But it might not be a database issue from what you're describing - what version of Universal Server are you on?

If you think the reporting is not accurate, I think your best option is to log a support ticket and get some assistance looking at your installation.  You aren't going to learn anything (or fix anything) poking around in postgress, nor should you do that in any event without guidance from support.
