We have renewed our product and I want to upgrade to the current version. I think I uninstalled the current version. I went through the uninstall but I thought I cancelled before it completed. I have rebooted the computer and PGP WDE asked for my password. What bothers me is I don't see the PGP icon on the system tray nor do I see PGP on my add/remove programs. Does that mean I don't have PGP installed even though I had to enter my PGP password upon login? Will I need to install the new version to get the icon in the system tray and the program to show in my control panel?

    Thanks for your help.

This Knowledge Base Article may be helpful.  It sounds like you may just need to uninstrument your disk, but you definitely don't want to do this if it is still encrypted.  The command line usage in the article will help you assess the encryption status, but you may need to first install PGP to do so, and installing the current version should not be a problem regardless of the encryption status.
