I've been getting these errors since Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager was installed:

    Event Type: Information

    Event Source: Application Popup

    Event Category: None

    Event ID: 26

    Date: 11/08/2010

    Time: 2:51:05 p.m.

    User: N/A

    Computer: server.domain

    Description:

Application popup: php-cgi.exe - Application Error : The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000005) occurred in the application at location 0x776a8e7c.

Click on OK to terminate the program

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

They show up in the System log as Information, but there are quite a few each day.

Will this error affect the running of the SEPM?

You can refer to the session 'Verify the version of PHP that SEPM is using' on the KB:

It doesn't appear to be affecting SEPM or anything else, except that it is filling up the event logs.

Try by removing application and device control feature of the SEP client installed in SEPM...

Thanks, but application and device control is not installed.
